Kat Guillemot
Kat, an English Solicitor, is an experienced and practical litigator. With over 20 years of working in the legal profession in Jersey, she has developed a wealth of knowledge through practicing in all aspects of civil litigation during this time. Since the start of her career, Kat has engaged in the conduct of personal injury and clinical negligence claims, representing both claimants and defendants. She oversees the majority of the firm’s practice in this field with her high level of expertise and experience. Kat is well regarded for her ability to deal with claims ranging all the way up to those that are life changing. Kat has successfully secured substantial settlements for clients in a number of high value personal injury and clinical negligence claims over the years.
In addition, Kat assists in contentious trust disputes and cases of a commercial or contractual nature.
Aside from her role as a civil litigator, Kat also advises clients in relation to matters of Estate management and assists both local and international clients with the preparation of Wills, the obtaining of Jersey Grants of Probate, and the administration of Estates. With her litigation background, Kat also has considerable experience in dealing with any contentious probate matters that may arise.
Kat is a keen cyclist and triathlete. Having completed two Olympic Distance Triathlons, Kat is currently training for her first Half Iron Man event. The hours of training also allow her to enjoy her passion for good food and wine without too much guilt!
